As WorldDoc’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Singal conceives and executes corporate strategies while providing vision for the organization that he has helped shape since its inception in 1999. Ever aware of WorldDoc’s role in the dynamic healthcare marketplace, Singal marries information from emerging research and medical technologies with his past executive experiences in the medical arena to chart WorldDoc’s initiatives.
Before joining WorldDoc, Singal was Vice President and Medical Director for Southwest Medical Associates, a publicly traded Managed Care Organization under the umbrella of Sierra Health Services. Within the 100+ physician multi-specialty medical group, Singal’s responsibilities ranged from physician productivity, quality medical care and efficiency of outpatient care delivery to disease management and hospital/pharmaceutical utilization.
His results were impressive.
Just three years after he joined Southwest Medical Associates, physician productivity increased by 25 percent. And that’s just the beginning. Patient satisfaction and staff efficiency both received a 15 percent boost—a testament to Singal’s leadership.
Singal completed his residency training in internal medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Mo. Consistently ranked among the nation’s Top 10 Hospitals, Washington University is likewise a leader in internal medicine.
A graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine, Singal found his passion in the HIV vaccine laboratory. A Medical Scholars grant recipient, he embarked on an original research study in Bombay, India. During his study, dubbed “The genetic diversity of HIV in Bombay, India,” Singal the medical student collected blood samples from high-risk Indian populations. His fieldwork culminated in analysis at Stanford.
