It is the WorldDoc Charitable, Education and Research Foundation’s firm belief that the next major driver of healthcare will encompass patient / consumer empowerment.
The WorldDoc Foundation’s core distribution process is centered on forming strategic partnerships with units of government, community-based organizations, educational institutions and public health providers The WorldDoc Foundation works with these partners to find win/win solutions, which benefit the organizations as well as their participants / members.
Through these strategic partnerships, which provide medical decision support for uninsured and high-risk populations, the WorldDoc Charitable, Education and Research Foundation believes we can reshape the healthcare delivery system and help persons of limited means to more effectively manage their health and usage of healthcare.
As healthcare costs continue to escalate, the burden of paying for healthcare has shifted significantly to patients. Some employers have even dropped health coverage all together. While the United States has quality health services available, fewer and fewer Americans can afford to access these services. And despite rapid medical advances, Americans are not any healthier as a nation.
Increasing health care costs result in a shortage of healthcare resources available for uninsured and at-risk populations. At the same time, this situation creates an environment where consumers must be active participants of the healthcare process and have personal stakes in healthcare expenditures and the results achieved.
WorldDoc, Inc. develops Care Management Systems that seek to provide the participation and information resources needed to empower individuals to take a leadership role in personal health and wellness decision-making. The Care Management Systems benefit patients, providers and payers of healthcare.
The WorldDoc Foundation’s mission is to expand the benefits of WorldDoc, Inc.’s Care Management Systems to uninsured and at-risk populations who face care gaps and the lack of health information. The WorldDoc Foundation also seeks to engage these populations in a manner that reduces financial costs for payers of healthcare (often the government) and patients, while producing improved and measurable health outcomes. Through the generosity of WorldDoc, Inc., the Foundation can generally provide access to WorldDoc’s tools at reduced costs or even no cost for special target groups.
